Program: 

Morning:

As you are led on a guided tour by bus along the romantic Viale dei Colli up to Piazzale Michelangelo you will admire the wonderful panorama of Florence, one of the most beautiful sights to behold. When you enter the city you will travel through the old city centre before visiting the outdoor Duomo complex, which includes: the Baptistery with its bronze doors, the famous Porta del Paradiso, and the Cathedral with the magnificent Cupola del Brunelleschi and Giotto’s bell tower. After a short walk through the historic streets in the heart of Florence you will explore the renowned Galleria dell’Accademia, which is home to the famous David by Michelangelo. The morning tour will conclude inside the museum.

Afternoon:

While you are led on a fine coach tour that offers panoramic views of unparalleled beauty on your way to Florence, admire Fiesole, a delightful town of Etruscan origin set on the hills overlooking Florence and the Arno Valley. Once you enter Florence you will tour the old city centre, visiting to the Franciscan Church of Santa Croce, and walk through the historic streets of the heart of Florence until you reach the famous Piazza Signoria, where you can admire the impressive Palazzo Vecchio and the beautiful Loggia del Lanzi. The tour continues through the famous Galleria degli Uffizi where you can appreciate the superb paintings of Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Cimabue, Masaccio. The tour will conclude inside the museum.

On Mondays, when the either the Galleria dell’Accademia or the Galleria degli Uffizi is closed, the tours will continue to the Bargello museum or the Medici Chapels.
