Experience Sicily 6 Day Tour

Day 1 - Arrival Palermo!

This tour program starts from Palermo and today is your arrival day. Arrive to the host hotel on your own or add the optional airport transfer that will bring you from the Palermo airport directly to your hotel.

Check into your hotel and relax. The first day in Sicily is what we call the "Jetlag Day" where all you are to do is unpack and relax.

Stroll the streets around your hotel for a cocktail, find a local artist studio to look over the latest Sicilian art or just find a piazza and people watch; the choice is yours.

Tonight you will enjoy a welcome dinner filled with specialities of the region of Sicily. Enjoy and welcome to Sicily!

DAY 2 - Palermo's Ancient Past

Experience the best Italian espresso as you fuel your body for the days adventure. In the morning visit of the historical past of Palermo & Monreale that includes: the Palatine Chapel, the Cathedral of Palermo.

In Monreale visit the Cathedral and its Cloister. Return to Palermo for lunch and the afternoon, on your own to enjoy the Sicilian capital.

The outdoor markets are an amazing place to people watch and see the vendors sell their items the same way they did hundreds of years ago.

Arrive back to your hotel in the afternoon to refresh and relax. Tonight a lovely dinner will be served at your hotel.

Day 3 - Sicilian Cites of the Ancient Past

After a relaxing night's sleep and a hearty breakfast you will depart for the ancient town of Erice.

This town is frozen in time and still looks as it did in the 11th century. Explore the town's narrow streets and admire the amazing views of the sea. Later you will visit the fishing port Mazara del Vallo which has more astonishing views of the sea.

Then on to Marsala which is just off the African continent. Plenty of free time to explore this ancient seaside village. Make sure to grab a bite during your free time because there is more to see.

Next you will continue on to Agrigento and the amazing Valley of the Temples. Concorde, Hercules, Jupiter and Juno are just a few of the temples you will see. After a full day you will be taken to your hotel in the city of Agrigento where you can unpack and relax.

A lovely Dinner and free time for a night cap later.

Day 4 - Sicily's Baroque Past

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. After leaving Agrigento we reach Noto which is abeautiful city with baroque buildings and a cathedral that will take your breath away.

Plenty of free time for exploring. After Noto we will reach Siracusa where we will visit the amazing Greek Amphitheatre , the famous cave called "Dionisio's Ear" and the Roman Theater (admission tickets included) after this visit we see the Island of Ortigia, rich in Baroque and medieval palaces and churches.

In the afternoon arrival at Taormina. Check into your hotel, relax and enjoy the quaint city center of Taormina. In the evening enjoy a dinner featuring the best of local favorites.

Day 5 - Sicily's Sleeping Volcano

Breakfast at your hotel. Make sure you eat your fill because today you will travel by coach up to see the amazing Mount Etna, an active volcano and the largest active volcano in Europe.

It is also the highest mountain in Italy. (Weather permitting) we'll reach the summit area up to 1800 m.

In the afternoon return to Taormina, crossing the town located on an impressive embankment of the Monte Tauro. Dinner and overnight at your hotel this evening.

Day 6 - Ciao Sicily!

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Today is the end of the program. The experts at Italy 4 Real can assist you with airfare back to Rome or your next point in Europe. Add an optioinal airport transfer to the Palermo or Catania
